It maybe a bit cool n crisp in Los Angeles... The weather that is, but fashion and passion certainly seem to keep the barometer soaring!! Let's  leap forward (avoiding any puddles we may encounter) into a season that is chic n sleek, with some dazzling finds that are on any "must have" list!

        I am a firm believer that your body is a temple and that it's ultimate care is a constant requirement. Now some of these "temples" may inspire more worshiping than others, but it's all got to do with making sure you are at your best, and that your health is in constant check. After a season of indulgence on calorific concoctions, a little bit of healthy living may be to our benefit! I am a steadfast patron of Fresh produce, and believe that imbued delicious fresh juices such as Carrot (Evolution does some of the best juices out there) makes for a healthy glow... From the inside out!! Take an exercise class... Take the stairs.... Take a walk.... Or simplify things and take to your treadmill! Your healthy refreshed body and soul will thank you for it!

    The Oscars are a month away and despite the stress inducing Writers strike, the show.. Is scheduled.. To go on! A nice addition to our latest pageant winners, is Miss Kristen Haglund, Miss Michigan, who just won the Miss America 2008 title,  in a Claire's Collection couture original. The Nude illusion net was completely sheer, with heavily encrusted pave Swarovski beading. Congratulations Kristen! The Claire's collection show in NYC at the beginning of February will also showcase our seasonal offerings to the deities of high style. With the introduction of Habotai silk, the collection has a fluid ethereal feel, and the soft whisper movement of air. Colors for our Fall 08 collection include Juniper, Nutmeg, Cognac and Amber. Falls brightest and richest palettes are blazing with shine brought about by our magnificent artisan embellishing, using Swarovski Crystals. Shimmer and shine at it's most resplendent!

      The Fashion Institute of Design and merchandising my alma mater in downtown Los Angeles, unveils it's annual homage to Oscar nominated movie costumes, showcasing the actual costumes worn in the movies. The gala opening promises to be exciting and is the prelude to another much awaited fashion event, the annual "Debut" fashion show! Chosen graduates who have worked for nine months on their stellar collections, will unveil their looks on Feb 29th. Mary Stephens, the prolific tour de force of fashion, will as always wow the audience when this event is staged at the Barker Hanger at the Santa Monica airport!

 All things English are at the forefront!! I am completely thrilled! Being a die hard Anglophile, and loving all things English since I was a Child, this wave of Fab Brit picks marks the re-invention of "cool and classy". Power house "Burberry" goes from strength to strength, with an iconic collection that showcases street chic at it's best. The subtle use of Nova Check for trims etc. Adds a super cool aura to this venerable house! "Mulberry" as always delivers the finest in tooled accessories, and a twirl through "Fenwicks" maybe just what's needed late afternoon. London is HOT in the coolest way.... And indulgence is the way to go! Stay at the ultra chic "May Fair" hotel one of the most sought after addresses in uber Fabulous Mayfair, and treat yourself to a cocktail at their elegant luxe "May Fair bar"! Visit the Victoria & Albert Museum and don't forget a quick facial at "Bliss London". Yes....  It's the perfect time to make London our must have travel treat!!
